Faith's First 6 Months

Faith has some pretty huge shoes to fill, but she is growing into them nicely. She is great with the kids, and we adore her.

Sweet 16

Taylor turned 16!!! She is such a great kid. She gets good grades, plays high school sports, and works very hard. But she is also just plain a great kid. She is kind, thoughtful, generous, understanding, hardworking, and cares for everyone!! We couldn't be prouder of her.
She got her drivers license and got a cute little red Kia.

Her friends had a surprise party for her. They had tons of fun.

Halloween 2010

The weather was so bad this year, we didn't even go Trick or Treating. But Maizee did dress up and answer the door for all 3 of the kids that came trick or treating to our house. She was definately the cutest lady bug around. Halloween is also Traeson's Birthday!

Maizee the Ham!!

Maizee always knows when there is a camera around. She has the funniest cheesey smile when she sees you get out the camera. She is so much fun.

Apparently she gets it from her sister, Taylor.

She finds markers that no one else can find. She must have a stash somewhere because I know I have scoured the house a dozen times and purged it of all the markers, yet she manages to turn herself into a living work of art.

Maizee loves the hot tub. She will beg anyone and everyone to get in with her.

More Cheesey smiles!! She is such a clown!

USU Homecoming Parade

Dodee danced in the USU Homecoming Parade. In the past years she has ridden the float. This is the first year she has ever danced the full mile and a half. She did such a great job, and loved every minute of it.

Maizee turns 2!!

I can't believe it's been 2 years since Maizee was born. We were so shocked to get her, and now we don't know what we would do without her. She defiantely rules our house. She was so excited to open her presents and try them on.

Last Football Games

The boys both had great last games. Sad to see the season end. Football is definately my favorite, but it's now on to basketball.
J.R.'s run and TD pass.

Traeson's TD run. His team had a great year. They went on to win the Championship for his age division.

Go Logan!! Wahoo!!

Maizee has been to watch the kids in hundreds of games already in her short life. Apparently she is absorbing more than we realized!!! She is defiantely the cutest cheerleader!!

Playing With Heart

Both J.R. and Traeson showed what it's like to play with a lot of heart today. I couldn't be more proud of both of them.
J.R. has been sick all week. He has had a high fever, and been in bed since Thurs afternoon. This morning he got up, got dressed, filled up on ibuprophen (more than medically advised I'm sure) and headed off to his game. When he got there the quarterback of his team didn't come to the game, because he had a headache. Wow, seriously?! But J.R. stepped up and gave it his all. He played hard every down and left it all on the field. His team lost, but J.R. had one of his best games. He threw for a TD and proved that Champions play through the pain.
Traeson's team played Sky View and they were both undefeated before today. They had a dog fight of a game. The SV coaches had scouted his team and were keying on Traeson pretty hard. He took some hard hits but just kept fighting. He scored 2 TD including the game winning TD with less than a minute remaining. He scored this on nothing but refusal to lose will power. The video doesn't give this justice. It was a fantastic run where he just refused to go down.

Traeson's Game Winning TD

After the game the coach gave Traeson the game ball for "Giving the team his heart."

It was a great day for the Martindale boys!!

Another Great Saturday!!

We started the morning off at Sky View with J.R.'s team. He played great and had some really nice hits, but his team just couldn't pull it off. He got his right hand smashed between to helmets in the first quarter and may have broken his hand (we'll decide on Xrays tomorrow), but he played through the pain and had a great game. Because I have to video him, there is no usable video - because I get so busy watching and cheering that I forget to keep the camera pointed at the field.
Then we finished the afternoon in Bear River with Traeson's team. He is the man of that team, running to then endzone 4 times in the first quarter!! They won 38 to 0. He's # 21.

He even got to play some other positions and had some great blocks.

Hunger Games

Well, I gave into peer pressure and starting reading "Hunger Games". I try to avoid these books because once I start I can't put the darn thing down. And as usual I did nothing yesterday but read. I absolutely loved the first book. I read it in one day, and went first thing this morning to get the second one. Guess I won't get much done this week, might as well finish the series and get it over with. It is The Truman show meets Avatar. If you're a reader I highly recommend them, I think they will be this years "Twilight". I'm sure there's a movie in the making.

Maizee and Faith

Maizee and Faith were playing in the yard tonight, I took a couple quick video clips. Not sure who is leading who, but they are sure cute doing it :)

Run Traeson Run

Wow what a difference a week makes. Traeson's football team kicked butt today. They played West Haven, who is notorious for having great teams. Traeson had 2 huge runs for Touch Downs. He had 3 60 yard runs in a row, the first 2 were called back, but he just kept doing it again. He is such a fast little streaker, if he can get on the outside, its over!! We are so excited to see what he can do.

J.R.'s team had a rougher week. J.R. had a great game himself. He had several nice blocks to spring long runs, and a couple really nice touchdown saving tackles.

Fall is a fun season at our house!! We will see what next week brings.

Season Opener

Saturday was J.R.'s 12th birthday. He celebrated with a great football game. He ran for a 60 yard touchdown, threw for a TD, and an extra point. He had a blast.

Traeson had his first game too. His team wasn't quite as prepared. They got beat pretty bad, but he got to play QB and is ready for another week of practice.

Maizee the Jabber Talky

Maizee has gotten a very large vocabulary the past couple months. She is obsessed with horses. She talks about horses and spongebob all day long. Here is a link to a youtube video of her saying some of her favorite words. You can subscribe to our youtube channel and be notified whenever we add new video clips. This video was taken about a month ago and she had changed so much already, but it's fun to listen to your little voice. She is such a little ray of sunshine in our lives.

Super busy weekend

Well we had avery busy weekend. Welcome to spring around our house. In a 24 hour period we had a softball game, went to the Jazz playoff game is SLC, a volleyball tournament in Idaho Falls, a soccer game, a dance competion, and 2 baseball games. Needless to say, we had to divide and conquer. I got the easy task of taking Taylor to the volleyball tournament in Idaho, Jared had to stay home and get everyone else every where they needed to be. He even did Dodee's hair and make-up for the dance competition.

We went to the Jazz playoff game on Friday night. It was tons of fun. The kids enjoy the pregame as much if not more than the game.

Then Saturday morning came and the real choas began. Taylor and I left at 5:30 am to get to the volleyball tournament. Dodee had a soccer game. She always plays great and is such a little hustler.

J.R. had a double header for the Beavers. He plays 2nd and does a great job.

Then Dodee had a dance competition. She performed 3 dances and always looks so cute. She is only 6 and is in the group for girls 8 to 12. She does a super job.
The full dance is too long to upload but can be viewed by clicking the following links.
Then the boys ended the weekend with a round of golf on Sunday. It was colder than they thought so they froze, but still had a fun time.
Now we need a weekend to recover from our weekend. Only problem is that next weekend looks just the same.
