Traeson's Fieldtrip to Hardware Ranch

Traeson's second grade class went on a fieldtrip to Hardware Ranch. They got to see the elk, ride on a horse-drawn sleigh, and play in the snow. He even came home with these pictures he had taken on his phone while he was there.

Picture Memories

Well, because it's winter, and we are all locked up inside with nothing to do, I haven't had anything to post. So I decided to take a quick look through our old pics and post a favorite memory for each of the kiddos.

Taylor:
When Taylor was little, her and a friend, Marissa would spend hours everyday on the tramp. Whether they were doing tricks, jumping of the deck, or making up dances they were out there hour and hour.
J.R.

J.R. was a skeleton for Halloween one year. He ran around dancing and singing the hip bone connects to the leg bone song, which then stuck for weeks. It was so annoying I thought I would kill him, but looking back it was pretty funny and typical J.R. style.

Traeson:

Traeson's memory is from Halloween 2004. Which is also his birthday, he turned 3. I remember this just like it was yesterday. As you can see he was a happy little lark. The plan was that he would dress up like a football player, and Dodee would be a cheerleader.Well, once Dodee was ready, Traeson decided he wasn't going to get dressed and ready (big surprise!!). He wanted to go as a "nobody". I told him that "nobodies" don't get candy at trick or treating and if he wanted candy he would have to put on his costume. The pictures are in squence of what we now refer to as a "melt down".

First comes the flop to the floor:Then a few tears:A few more: All leading up to the blood-curdling wail.
Funny, it's all so clear in my head, but I can't for the life of me, remember if he ever put on the costume or if he ended up with candy. lol

Cadence:

When Dodee turned one, I took her into JC Penny to have her pictures taken. I made sure she had taken a nap, was well fed, and in a good mood. But it didn't matter. As soon as they put her up on the table to take her picture she covered her face with her hands and wouldn't look up. She sat like that for several minutes while the poor picture girl tried all her tricks to get her to look up. After what seemed like a very long time I gave up and had her just take the picture. It turned out to be one of my all time favorites.
Maizee:

Maizee's first word was Dog. But she has never pronouced it as dog, it is more like dooooog. She drags out the ah sound, making it sound almost like a British accent.

Well Here We Go Again!!

Unfortunately our Christmas break is over. And that means we go back to school, basketball, dance, etc. The past few weeks have been nice with no running around but in an odd way it will be nice to get back into the swing of things.
