Karren Christmas Party 2009

The Karren Family Christmas Party was last night. It's always fun to see everyone and catch up. Santa came and we all got to sit on his lap whether we wanted to or not.

Chocolate is a Girls Best Friend

After a recent shopping trip I returned to find that Maizee had discover the chocolate candy bars wrapped and under the tree for gifts. I think I am over paying the older kids to tend her.

Jazz Games

The boys went to the recent Jazz games against the Magic and then the Lakers. They had tons of fun.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2009

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We went with Pops to cut down a Christmas tree. Taylor hauled it off the mountain all by herself, she found it was easier to do it alone, rather than wait for her clumsy, old mother to stumble down the hill. Maizee loved to potatoes, which she of course had to feed herself.

The girls danced at Novemberfest. They did a great job, as always!!

LHS Volleyball MVP

Taylor had her LHS volleyball banquet tonight. She had an amazing year. She was awarded the MVP award, and was very deserving. She was also one of only nine girls of the 39 players to earn the 100% award. This was given to girls who did not miss or come late to a game or practice. This shows her dedication. We are proud you, Tay!!!

Taylor's 15!!!

And that makes me OLD!! I can't believe how time flies. Wow!! But because she is 15 there are no more cute pics of birthday parties, or blowing out the candles. I was banished upstairs while she had her party, and only have these few pics I was able to snap while they weren't paying attention!!

Traeson's 8th Birthday

Traeson turned 8 on Oct. 31!! He had a party at the Fun Park. It was lots of fun. Part of having your birthday on Halloween means that all your birthday pics look like Halloween pics, therefor explaining the face paint :)

LHS Freshman Basketball

Taylor's Last 2009 LHS Volleyball Game

Taylor had her last volleyball game of the year today. They played SV and did well. Taylor served the first 7 points of game one. They had a great year. Taylor was a very valuable player, leading the team to some great wins. Here are a few clips of the game.

Jr. Grizz Basketball

JR, Traeson, and Dodee Start Jr. Grizz Basketball next weekend. The first game is on Halloween, the schedule is listed on the calendar. All games are played at the Logan Rec. Center.

Cruise

Jared's siblings all went on a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera. It was lots of fun. We took over 600 pictures. Here are a few of the high lights.
The ship was huge. We spent the first 2 days exploring the sights just on the ship.

Our first port was Cabo San Lucus. We went scuba diving, did a little shopping, and paid for a picture with a giant Iguana.
Then we stopped at Mazatlan. Here we went sight seeing, stopped at the market, then spent the day at the beach.
I've never been so thankful for Walmart or the US food inspector in my life. Can you imagine eating this stuff?


At the beach I went parasailing and had my hair braided, while Jared rented a wave runner.




Our last port was Puerto Vallarta. We spent most the day swimming with the dolphines. This was a blast. They took pictures while you were in with the dolphins but they wanted $99 for 8 pictures and we were to cheap to buy them so we snapped pics of the screen showing the pictures. So they aren't the best.

We spent the last 2 days at sea headed back home. The water was so blue it was incredible.

It was a trip of a lifetime.
