Maizee the Ham!!

Maizee always knows when there is a camera around. She has the funniest cheesey smile when she sees you get out the camera. She is so much fun.

Apparently she gets it from her sister, Taylor.

She finds markers that no one else can find. She must have a stash somewhere because I know I have scoured the house a dozen times and purged it of all the markers, yet she manages to turn herself into a living work of art.

Maizee loves the hot tub. She will beg anyone and everyone to get in with her.

More Cheesey smiles!! She is such a clown!

USU Homecoming Parade

Dodee danced in the USU Homecoming Parade. In the past years she has ridden the float. This is the first year she has ever danced the full mile and a half. She did such a great job, and loved every minute of it.

Maizee turns 2!!

I can't believe it's been 2 years since Maizee was born. We were so shocked to get her, and now we don't know what we would do without her. She defiantely rules our house. She was so excited to open her presents and try them on.

Last Football Games

The boys both had great last games. Sad to see the season end. Football is definately my favorite, but it's now on to basketball.
J.R.'s run and TD pass.

Traeson's TD run. His team had a great year. They went on to win the Championship for his age division.

Go Logan!! Wahoo!!

Maizee has been to watch the kids in hundreds of games already in her short life. Apparently she is absorbing more than we realized!!! She is defiantely the cutest cheerleader!!

Playing With Heart

Both J.R. and Traeson showed what it's like to play with a lot of heart today. I couldn't be more proud of both of them.
J.R. has been sick all week. He has had a high fever, and been in bed since Thurs afternoon. This morning he got up, got dressed, filled up on ibuprophen (more than medically advised I'm sure) and headed off to his game. When he got there the quarterback of his team didn't come to the game, because he had a headache. Wow, seriously?! But J.R. stepped up and gave it his all. He played hard every down and left it all on the field. His team lost, but J.R. had one of his best games. He threw for a TD and proved that Champions play through the pain.
Traeson's team played Sky View and they were both undefeated before today. They had a dog fight of a game. The SV coaches had scouted his team and were keying on Traeson pretty hard. He took some hard hits but just kept fighting. He scored 2 TD including the game winning TD with less than a minute remaining. He scored this on nothing but refusal to lose will power. The video doesn't give this justice. It was a fantastic run where he just refused to go down.

After the game the coach gave Traeson the game ball for "Giving the team his heart."

It was a great day for the Martindale boys!!

Another Great Saturday!!

We started the morning off at Sky View with J.R.'s team. He played great and had some really nice hits, but his team just couldn't pull it off. He got his right hand smashed between to helmets in the first quarter and may have broken his hand (we'll decide on Xrays tomorrow), but he played through the pain and had a great game. Because I have to video him, there is no usable video - because I get so busy watching and cheering that I forget to keep the camera pointed at the field.
Then we finished the afternoon in Bear River with Traeson's team. He is the man of that team, running to then endzone 4 times in the first quarter!! They won 38 to 0. He's # 21.

He even got to play some other positions and had some great blocks.
